Get ready for a Murder on the Dancefloor Leeds, because the iconic English singer-songwriter is coming to Wakefield.
Sophie Ellis-Bextor is the newest headliner for Live at Tileyard North, an exciting series of outdoor concerts kicking off next summer.
And it’s all thanks to veteran independent West Yorkshire promoters Futuresound who have been operating in the region for nearly thirty years.
The trusted team behind large-scale outdoor events such as Live at Leeds, Slam Dunk, Live at Kirkstall Abbey and many more, Futuresound are excited to bring their decades of experience to Wakefield’s Tileyard North for a series of unique performances from musical icons and rising stars alike throughout August 2026.

Ellis-Bextor joins recently announced Live at Tileyard North headliners the Vaccines, who will be in Wakefield performing their critically acclaimed 2011 debut album What Did You Expect From the Vaccines? in full to celebrate 15 years since its release on Sunday 30 August.
Since her collaboration with Italian DJ Spinner, 2000’s ‘Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love)’, which reached no. 1 in the charts and became one of the best-selling vinyl singles of the millennium, Sophie Ellis-Bextor has been a pop music icon.
Sophie Ellis-Bextor will be performing in Wakefield on Thursday 27 August 2026.
Postcode pre-sale for residents local to Tileyard North will open at 10am on Wednesday 3 December here with general sale opening at 10am on Friday 5 December here.
We’ve got a feeling that this one will be a sell-out so run, don’t walk to get your tickets.
