Rolf Harris, convicted peodophile and entertainer dies aged 93

Former TV presenter and convicted paedophile Rolf Harris has died at the age of 93.

The star had been receiving round-the-clock care at his home in Berkshire.

It had been reported last year that Rolf had been battling cancer in his neck and had lost the ability to speak.

The Australian entertainer first rose to fame in the 1950s and was often seen playing unusual instruments like the didgeridoo and the ‘wobble board’.

His career effectively ended in 2014 when he was convicted of the sexual assault of four underage girls.

He served three years of his sentence of five years and nine months at HM Stafford.

Harris never apologised to his victims.

His death was confirmed to the PA news agency by a registrar at Maidenhead Town Hall but the cause of death is not yet known.

Just last week, ITV screened a new documentary titled Rolf Harris: Hiding in Plain Sight.

The two-part programme exposed the story of Rolf Harris’ assaults through archive footage and first-person accounts.

This is a breaking news story. More to follow.
