In a perfect move for the times in which we live, Yorkshire’s favourite bakery Cooplands has launched a game-changing frozen range – meaning we can now enjoy all of our favourite products of theirs from home.

The northern bakery giants have teamed up with fellow Northern retailer Heron Foods to launch the new range and sell frozen versions of their beloved baked goods for at-home baking.

With prices starting from just £1, shoppers will be able to get their hands on Cooplands classics like sausage rolls and savoury pies, as well as sweeter treats like cherry turnovers and chocolate muffins at Heron branches in Scarborough, Bridlington and Whitby.

The 136-year-old bakery business has also revealed it will be opening three concession shops in Tesco supermarkets – based in Hartlepool, Stockton-on-Tees and Lincoln – as part of a huge new expansion across the UK.

It follows the opening of the bakery’s first concept shop,  Cooplands eat & seats. at Yorkshire’s biggest theme park and award-winning zoo, Flamingo Land, in May.

“Now customers at Heron Foods can bake their Cooplands favourites at home,” said Belinda Youngs, chief executive of Cooplands.

“Our new range of products includes sweet and savoury pasties, savoury pies and our deliciously decadent chocolate muffins filled with a gooey chocolatey centre, not to mention our famous perfect pastry sausage rolls.

“There will be new innovation and limited edition products in the future too so customers can bake our bakers’ best from the comfort of their own kitchen.”
