The new restaurant has been open less than a week.

Just four doors down from Salvo’s, one of Headingley’s oldest running restaurants, Salvatore’s Bar and Street Kitchen is the new bar and kitchen venture from the family business.

Now in the third-generation of the renowned family business, Salvatore’s will be run by Salvatore Dammone, grandson of the late Salvo, the founder of the well-established and popular family-run Italian restaurant – Salvo’s.

Bringing favourite Italian treats, locals can feast their senses on the likes of arancini balls and crispy carbonara, with craft beers and IPA from North Brewing Co.

Investing £75,000 into the development of the new restaurant, Salvatore is bringing 11 years of experience to the table, with Michelin star restaurants such as Locanda Locatelli’s in London, and La Foresteria in Sicily under his belt.

Salvatore then went on to work at Stoneley Woods Manor Shooting Lodge as a private chef and continued his role as a private cook for racing drivers and their teams whilst travelling Europe.

“Salvatore’s is something we have wanted to do for a long time, and we feel like now is the perfect time to bring something different to Headingley. It’s such a vibrant area, and I’m excited to be bringing a modern bar and street kitchen to the independent bar scene in Headingley with this new venue.

“We look forward to welcoming guests to the bar to enjoy our range of drinks and delicious street food.”

Salvatore’s Bar and Kitchen opened on Friday 26 August 2022 on Otley Road in Headingley, four doors down from the original Salvos restaurant where Salvatore’s late grandfather opened in the leafy suburb over 20 years ago.
