Incomparable singer-songwriter and all round genius Tim Minchin is making his grand return to First Direct Arena later this year.

Minchin, who started out as a Perth cabaret pianist, has now built up one of the most impressive careers in entertainment history, making a stop at Leeds to show Yorkshire what he’s all about.

This evening requires your full attention because if you switch off for a single second you could find yourself in the middle of a completely different song.

That’s because this Australian all-rounder’s music roster varies from comedy classics to Christmas tear jerkers too, it’s guaranteed to be a cracking night.

He was launched into the public eye back in 2005 when he hit TV screens thanks to his show ‘Darkside’ and that very same year received praise after a performance at Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

He has a soft spot for our lovely country as back in 2006 his wife Sarah gave birth to their first child, Violet,  in London.

With a tour titled ‘Songs The World Will Never Hear’ we are sure that the 12,000 capacity audience will all have their ears pricked eager to watch the spectacle that is Tim Minchin.

The setlist and songs for this newest tour have all been meticulously selected and span three decades of unique songwriting, there will be something for everyone.

If there’s one thing we can guarantee it’s that Minchin will be sat perched on his trusty piano awaiting the roars of the Leeds crowd as he makes us all laugh till we cry.
