A brand-new 15,000 sq ft four-floor restaurant-bar has launched in Halifax in the old Potting Shed building.
Enjoying a £200,000 rebrand as Townhouse, the Fountain Street premises has been transformed into a multi-storey venue with different themes on each level.
The ‘Basement’ features a sports bar screening live Premier League games and late-night boxing on an LED video wall, with dirty burgers and sharing platters on the food menu. By night, ‘Basement’ becomes a club spot featuring local DJs taking over the floor once a month. Private booths are also available to book.
On the ground floor is the ‘Living Room’, serving homemade food and an eclectic cocktail menu alongside a range of craft beers (including local brewer Vocation and some “top international picks”).
Upstairs on the terrace is the ‘Sky Lounge & Sky Garden’ with a retractable roof – where bottomless brunch and afternoon tea will be served.
Sourdough pizzas, kebabs, plant-based snacks, and a wide selection of desserts are among the food options at Townhouse, with resident DJs playing every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Speaking about the rebrand and reopening, Operations Director, Andy Ingham, says: “We wanted to make use of every inch of this huge space and offer everyone who visits an experience that they will remember.
“We’re really proud of being able to provide jobs for so many people and, in fact, we need more people to come on board!
“Townhouse is a huge venture for us, but it’s the perfect time to be opening and Halifax is the ideal location for it. Several new bars and restaurants have opened in the area and the town is bustling again.”
General Manager, James Maddison, added: “No stone has been left unturned at Townhouse and we really have thought of everything.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming people to the venue and seeing them have a really amazing time with their friends and family.
“We’re sure it will be a big hit with locals and those from further afield alike.”
