The suns out and everyones in the beer garden – so this travel company is putting them to the test.
Following on from the news Green Room made it onto the Big 7 best list of rooftop bars in Europe just months after opening, travel site has released a new list to help us pick out the best beer gardens on the Big 7 Enjoy Travel website.
And it’s no surprise that Leeds has got itself a place on the list.
Waterlane Boat House on Granary Wharf came in a respectable 12th place, highlighting its drinks selection, ‘delicious grub’ and of course the gorgeous outdoor beer garden overlooking the canal.
Here’s what Big 7 Enjoy Travel had to say about Waterlane Boat House: “This much-loved bar boasts a prime location on the banks of the River Aire, overlooking Granary Wharf.
Housed in an early 19th-century shipment warehouse, the bar sprawls across two floors, but its large and sun-filled beer garden is the star attraction. There’s a good range of beers, wines, cocktails, and spirits (including a G&T menu) on offer, as well as delicious grub in the shape of sandwiches, loaded burgers and sourdough pizzas. The bar is the brainchild of the same people behind Belgrave Music Hall and Headrow House, so you can guarantee it will be a lively night out.”
We couldn’t agree more.
Neighbouring city spots you might be familiar with that also made the list include Manchester’s Escape to Freight Island and The Gardeners Rest in Sheffield.
The popular ‘best of’ lists weigh up the following criteria to make each list: editorial opinions and experiences; previous critic reviews; online customer reviews; location and accessibility; online presence; consistency; atmosphere & service; value for money and presentation.
