The newest addition to the Leeds food hall scene, White Cloth Hall, has gained some national recognition.
Having only opened its doors in August, it’s safe to say that White Cloth Hall has truly made a brilliant first impression.
The all-day drink and dining venue has been bursting at the seems with hungry punters since opening and is well established as a honey-pot of deliciousness in the city.
And it’s not just us locals who think so, as The Times has included White Cloth Hall in its top seven food halls in the UK. What a winner.
So, what did The Times think? The list says: “This historic building, dating from 1775, first opened as a trading hub for cloth merchants. It was transformed into a food court this year and already has a reputation for serving up some of the best dishes in the city.
“Each vendor is unique to the site: you’ll find oysters and steak at Lupton’s Chop House, huge pork tacos from Salma and a wonderful beef rendang at Kuala Lumpur Cafe.”
Yep, we have to say we absolutely agree.
From the Sicilian-style sfincione pizza slices at Morty’s to the juicy tacos at Salma, there’s a dish for everyone to tuck into and savour at this city centre hot spot.
And we’re in good company too, as also included in the top seven are Society in Manchester, Bonnie & Wild in Edinburgh and Seven Dials Market in London.
Feeling hungry yet? Us too.
