This month has been huge for house prices.
Property coming to market rises 2.3% this month (an average of £7,785), which according to Rightmove, is the biggest monthly jump recorded in over twenty yers on their website.
Tim Bannister, Rightmove’s Director of Property Data has said: “The data suggests that people are by no means done with their pandemic-driven moves. Such a significant societal event means that even two years on from the start of the pandemic, people are continuing to re-consider their priorities and where they want to live.
Rightmove also reported in February that a fear of missing out in the current competitive market is fuelling this rise in activity from both buyers and sellers and with fewer properties on the market, buyer demand is now 16% higher than it was this time last year.
Simply put, if you’re on the market to buy a house, it’s worth acting sooner rather than later.
