As we say a sad farewell to Braizin Squad cooking up a storm on Green Room’s rooftop, it’s time to say hello to someone new…
And that special someone is none other than street food royalty, Bastards Bistro.
Taking over the kitchen on Monday 23 September, these legends will be serving up everything from brunch to lunch and of course Sunday roasts for their Winter residency at one of Leeds’ hottest bars.
So what can you expect to munch on then?
Well, the menu is currently top secret but we’ll fill you in on a few secrets.
A few highlights on their world-inspired menu include brunch bao buns stuffed to the brim with sausage, homemade hash and a fried quail egg, probably the perfect hangover cure if you ask us.
As well as chicken gyros, pork belly banh mi’s and beetroot poke bowls.
They will also be cooking up a banging Sunday roast featuring everything from braised ox cheek to roast porchetta and chicken supreme serve with all the hearty trimmings.
Announcing the very exciting news to Instagram, Bastards Bistro said: “We are pleased and very proud to announce our next residency will be at the award winning Green Room. Taking over the reins from our pals Braizin Squad as they move onto another exiting project themselves.
“Expect Brunch / Lunch / Roasts and a few exiting events to be announced at a later date! We cant wait to move into our new gaff! See you 23rd Sept ya Bastards.”
It’s fair to say this news has definitely made the thought of transitioning into the colder months that little bit easier, and we can’t wait to try out their fantastic new menu. Alongside a couple of Green Room’s signature drinks of course.
Book your spot in advance to avoid disappointment on the Green Room website here, but walk-ins, as always, will be welcomed too.
