First look images released of Rebel Wilson’s new Christmas film set in Yorkshire

Now that Halloween and Bonfire night are out of the way, it’s time to focus on the next important thing – Christmas.

We’ve all got a Christmas film which we watch year in, year out without fail.

Whether its an absolute classic like Miracle on 34th Street or something more modern like Nativity, it’s not quite Christmas until you’ve watched a few of them cuddled on the sofa with a tin of Quality Streets in hand.

So when we saw the trailer for a new one set in Yorkshire no less, we got very excited indeed.

Titled Tinsel Town, the film was spotted shooting in the lovely town of Knaresborough back in January and features an extremely star studded cast.

The cast list features Rebel Wilson, Golden Globe-winning Kiefer Sutherland, Danny Dyer, Lucien Laviscount, Jason Manford and Katherine Ryan. So if that’s not enough to tempt you, we’re not sure what else will.

Tinsel Town tells the story of a failed Hollywood action hero who is tricked into starring in a small English town’s chaotic Christmas pantomime.

We’ve definitely all seen one of those in our time.

As he meets the town’s locals along the way he encounters a number of twists and turns, including meeting the show’s eccentric choreographer played by Rebel Wilson.

The film is directed by Chris Foggin whose previous credits include the beloved Bank of Dave Netflix hit.

Tinsel Town is set to be released on Sky on Friday 5 December, and we’re sure it’s going to be a hit.
