It’s the last full week of January, and our city is bursting at the seams with exciting things to get up to.
We actually can’t quite believe that the first month of January is coming to an end, , but of course, with the Leeds events calendar still packed full of a wide range of events and activities you can be getting up to post-Christmas, it’s no wonder the weeks are passing fast.
If you’re finding it a bit tricky to pick what to do though, luckily, we’ve chosen a few of the best bits for another edition of our ‘what’s on’ guide this week.

Mint Warehouse, renowned for its hypnotic lights and garden parties, has hit its 12th birthday. To celebrate the occasion the event is being headlined by Enzo Siragusa and has some amazing DJs accompanying him. The house tech event will be a great way to two step into the new year.

The sensational musical Oliver! is wowing the Leeds Playhouse with its take on the original musical by Lionel Bart. The musical is in the round stage and helps cultivate a breathtaking performance for all ages that will leave you singing along.

Vue Cinemas across the UK are screening loads of beloved comedy films to make people smile on ‘Blue Monday’.
The cinema says it’s aiming to “spread some joy and laughter” by bringing back some of the nation’s favourite comedies and feel-good musicals and sticking them up on the big screen to help alleviate those so-called January blues. This means that, each week for the next four weeks, you can catch iconic flicks such as Mrs Doubtfire, The Devil Wears Prada, Mamma Mia!, and more.
