Tesco has launched a brand-new 'premium' meal deal, and there's apparently four million fancy food combinations to try out.
We all know meal deals are a classic lunch option for hungry office workers and people looking for something quick to grab on the go, and it's fair to say that Tesco's is one of the most popular on the market - and now, it looks like the supermarket retailer wants to keep it that way with its newest 'premium' offering.
It probably won't be that well received by the upset shoppers who called it the "final straw" when the retailer hiked the price of its standard meal deal up to £3.90 for those without a Clubcard late last year, but for those who like lots of choice when it comes to lunch, the possibilities are - quite literally - endless.
The new 'Premium Meal Deal' will feature alongside the original meal deal in all Tesco supermarkets.
Setting Clubcard holders back £5 per head, or £5.50 for those without, shoppers will be able to pick a main from well-known brands such as itsu, YO! Sushi, and Pollen & Grace, as well as a wide range of Tesco Finest and Wicked Kitchen mains, as part of the new Premium Meal Deal.

There's a total of 33 different main choices and 10 brand new Tesco Finest and Wicked products included in the deal.
Not only can hungry shoppers choose from more mains than ever before, but they can also choose from any of the regular snacks and drinks that you usually enjoy with a regular Tesco meal deal - including favourite brands such as Walkers, Propercorn, Graze, Cadbury, Oasis and Coca Cola.
Tesco claims there's over four million meal combinations as part of the new deal.
Clubcard holders will also make a saving of around £3.74 when buying the Premium Meal Deal, compared to if they bought the items separately, according to Tesco.
The 'Premium Meal Deal' is now available in 1,200 Tesco stores nationwide.

Leeds Festival warning issued as police announce speed cameras and traffic restrictions
Leeds Fest is almost here, but festival-goers heading to Bramham Park by car have been warned to take extra care on the roads.
Driving to Leeds Festival has never been particularly easy, but West Yorkshire Police have issued a warning to those driving by car in an attempt to make it somewhat easier.
Ahead of Leeds Festival 2026, temporary traffic management measures will be in place from Wednesday 26 August until Monday 31 August.
The measures are designed to improve road safety, reduce congestion, and help ensure the safe movement of the tens of thousands of people expected to attend the event.
Speed camera enforcement vans will be operating throughout the festival period alongside clearways surrounding the festival site.
Police have warned that drivers caught breaking the temporary restrictions could face prosecution, so it's definitely worth keeping an eye out for the signage as you approach the festival.
Superintendent Dan Wood said: “Leeds Festival is one of the largest events in West Yorkshire and attracts a significant increase in traffic to the local road network.
"The temporary speed restrictions and clearways are being introduced to help keep everyone safe, including festival-goers, local residents and road users.
"We would ask all motorists to pay close attention to the temporary signage in place and allow extra time for their journeys. Speed enforcement will be carried out during the event, and we encourage drivers to comply with all restrictions for their own safety and that of others."
Festival attendees are also being urged to follow the event signage rather than relying solely on their sat nav. Dedicated routes will direct different categories of visitors to the correct locations, including:
Camping entrances
Day / Non-camping ticket parking areas
Drop-off and pick-up points
Staff and authorised vehicle access routes
Motorists who follow sat nav directions alone may be directed to unsuitable routes, causing unnecessary delays for themselves and other road users.

Leeds United fans looking for a crisp pre-match pint, you're in luck.
Why? Because new data has revealed Leeds United as one of the Premier League clubs offering the cheapest pints.
It's al down to credit card provider Zable who analysed the average price of a pint at pubs near every Premier League stadium, revealing which fanbases pay the most, and least, for their pre-match drink.
You'll be glad to know that Leeds United ranked a very respectable fifth among the Premier League teams with the cheapest pre-match pints, with fans paying an average of £4.74 at pubs near the Elland Road Stadium.

However, if fans are looking to grab a drink inside the stadium, they face a higher price tag, with a pint costing £5.60, a difference of over 18%.
Newly promoted Coventry supporters are getting the best deal in the league with the average pint nearby to the stadium costing £4.16, whilst Sunderland came in second please (£4.41), followed by Hull City (£4.70).

Adam McAllister at Zable says: "For many fans, grabbing a pint before kick-off is part and parcel of the matchday experience, but our research shows that where you choose to drink can make a noticeable difference to the price. While stadium pints are often assumed to be more expensive, that's not always the case.
"With the cost of attending football continuing to add up, from tickets and travel to food and drinks, small differences like these can make a real impact on the overall cost of a matchday. Taking a little time to compare prices before heading to the stadium this season could help fans make their money go further, whether they choose to have a pint at the pub or inside the ground."
