It looks like vegans in Huddersfield are in for a treat as one of the best vegan junk food spots in the country has confirmed it’ll be opening a site in the city next month.
Voted one of the top 10 venues of its kind in the UK, Doner Summer specialises in delicious vegan kebabs served on soft, pillowy Turkish flatbreads.
Elsewhere on the menu you’ll find loaded fries, big fat butties, tater tots and burgers – all laden with delicious sauces and topped with colourful additions like herbs and pickles.
Everything here is 100% vegan, from the ‘chick’n’ to their sashimi, and some of the creations are absolutely mind-bending in the way they circumvent traditional expectations.
The vegan junk food brand already has sites in Leeds, York, Manchester and Hull. Its owners are a big fan of Huddersfield, having done many events in the city, so the move seemed like an obvious choice.
Sharing the news to their Instagram page, Doner Summer said: “We’re beyond excited to announce that our next location is HUDDERSFIELD! We’ve done many events in the past here and we absolutely LOVE the town.
“We’re keeping the exact location a secret for now. But it’s right in the centre of town and trust us, it’ll be worth the wait!
“We’re on track to open mid to late July and are on the hunt for a full time kitchen manager and full and part time Kitchen assistants.”
The post has received over 1,000 likes, with excited users commenting they can’t wait for it to open.
The new vegan junk food site is tipped to open sometime in mid to late July.
