Inside, guests will find all those character details in addition to practical furnishings like a comfortable sofa that converts into a double bed, huge bean bags next to the SMART TV, as well as a dining area with views over the satio and ample seating for the whole family.
Guests will pass the sauna room before leading themselves downstairs to the children’s bedroom, complete with creative fire engine bedsteads and sleeping bags suitable for those aged 12 and under.
Head up the ladder and you’ll find the master bedroom with a king-size bed, TV, dressing table and a lockable fireman’s pole.
The quirky former fire truck is clearly uniquely equipped for a truly memorable family escape but you’ll find plenty to do in the surrounding areas too.

Located on a working beef and sheep farm, the staycation is based deep in the Lake District National Park. More specifically, it’s positioned directly at the southern foot fells of the magnificent Blencathra, one of the most impressive fells in the Northern Lakes.
Those staying in the big red truck won’t have to travel far for creature comforts either as the staycation is close to the pretty village of Threlkeld, home to two popular pubs, serving local dishes and ales., as well as being just five miles from the market town of Keswick.
