ITV has opened applications for the next series of Love Island and wants people from Yorkshire to take part

Applications are now open.

Looking for a summer of love? Now’s your chance.

Are you looking for love? Fancy jetting off to the Balearics to try and find it in a Mallorcan villa with cameras everywhere and millions of people tuning in to watch you each night while it happens?

Lots of people could answer ‘yes’ to that first question, but it’s probably fair to say not as many will be up for the second part.

If it does sound like a bit of you though, then luckily, ITV is currently in the midst of the casting process for the next series of Love Island, and applications are now open.

If you’re somehow unfamiliar with what Love Island is, to briefly some it up, it’s a reality TV dating show where a group of men and women participate in a series of tasks with a partner that they keep swapping until they meet the love of their life.

It’s all about ‘gathering around the firepit’, ‘pulling people for a chat’, and ‘not putting all your eggs in one basket’ so you can find the one you want to ‘couple up’ with.

A casting call for the upcoming series of the smash-hit show on the ITV website reads: “How do you fancy finding love in the sun? ITV2 are looking for vibrant singles from across the UK who want to head to the sun, in search of love.

“The chosen cast will spend time in a luxury villa, getting to know one another, but to remain in paradise, they must win the hearts of the public and their fellow Islanders who ultimately decide their fate.”

Think you’ve got what it takes then? ITV wants to hear from you “straight away”.

Applicants just need to be over 18 years of age, and you can find out more and apply for the show by filling out an application form online here.
