For the second day in a row, a huge set has been cancelled due to overcrowding at Reading and Leeds Festival.
Day two of the festival and there's some pretty disappointed ravers hanging their head as one of the biggest dance music sets of the day is cancelled.
Omar+, a rising British electronic DJ and producer, was due to play on the brand-new Warehouse stage at Reading yesterday and Leeds today.
Yesterday's set was cancelled last minute due to overcrowding, and low and behold the same has happened here in Leeds.
Announcing the sad news to his story, Omar+ said "Actually lost for words. My Leeds set has been cancelled due to overcrowding."
He then went on to show a screenshot of a text message, reading: "I've never seen something like this in my entire life where two shows back to back are cancelled due to overcrowding."
The Warehouse stage is completely new for this year, and supposedly is designed specifically for dance music...which is quite ironic.
Prospa, another prominent DJ who's set was cancelled at Reading yesterday, spoke up on the situation: "We are disappointed in The Warehouse stage closure at Reading Festival. We were told it wasn't possible to play whilst on the way. This was due to too many people outside the stage.
"We have seen this happen before at larger festivals in the UK. It's time to double the capacity of tents or put dance music on the main stage."
It comes after another dance stage, LS23, was closed mid-set last night due to a health and safety hazard when all the lights suddenly switched off and ravers were forced to evacuate.

Leeds Festival 2026 kicked off yesterday and what a day it was.
Blistering sets were delivered throughout the day from huge acts such as Role Model, Florence and the Machine and Chase and Status.
But it wasn't all plain sailing, as festival-goers were left confused after a stage was forced to close mid-set when a health and safety issue brought proceedings to an abrupt halt.
The LS23 dance tent was temporarily closed during Zero’s set after all of the lights inside the stage area went off, leaving dancers in the dark and putting a stop to the music.

The LS23 stage is one of the festival’s dedicated dance spaces, attracting crowds throughout the weekend with a packed line-up of DJs and electronic acts.
It is understood that the closure was linked to a health and safety concern caused by the lighting failure, although further details on exactly what caused the lights to go out have not yet been confirmed.
In result, the stage will open later tonight and run only from 11pm - 3am. Let's hope all the lights stay on throughout.
Leeds Festival day two sees the likes of Charli XCX and Fontaines D.C. take to the stage and although the rain might have dampened the grass at Bramham Park, it's certainly not dampening our mood.

Blossoms announce massive First Direct Arena gig in Leeds

Blossoms have announced a massive gig in Leeds for later this year, right as they headed ontot he main stage at Leeds Festival.
The beloved indie rockers have added a surprise date in our city onto their existing UK arena tour, which already includes two nights in their native Manchester.
And now Tom Ogden, Charlie Salt, Josh Dewhurst, Joe Donovan and Myles Kellock are heading to Leeds too.
Blossoms have just wrapped up a main stage performance at Leeds Festival, where they've been battling wind and sideways rain for a show packed with bangers like Charlemagne, Gary, and Your Girlfriend.
Later this year they'll be back in our neck of the woods, announcing a show at the Leeds First Direct Arena.
They'll perform here on 3 December as part of their biggest headline tour to date, which is in celebration of their sixth studio album, Songs From The Wedding Cake.
Blossoms released their brand new single, ‘Additional Driver’ (feat. Declan McKenna) earlier this week.
