There’s a new Alpine-themed ski lodge bar space taking over the Leeds suburbs this winter

The Woods in Chapel Allerton is bringing the festive cheer with an Alpine-themed ski lodge- and the food looks absolutely stunning.

Whether you’re looking for a cosy space to while the night away or to fill up on festive treats, transport yourself to the warm chalet in the Swiss Alps without the flight or freezing outdoor temperatures from this week.

Opening on Thursday 17 November 2022, The Woods is serving up a full Alpine-style menu, with a selection of tartiflette, cassoulet, raclette, French onion soup, moules, ratatouille and charcuterie.

Drinks-wise you’ve got plenty to get in the Christmas spirit: vin chaud, schnapps, grappa and all the usual classics.

Grab yourself a seat on a fluffy sheepskin or by the wooden fire and gaze at the ski-themed decor, with skis on the walls.

It really is the season for it.

But for the first time ever, it’s also the season to be getting rallied round the tables, pint in hand and screaming at the telly every time England play, and The Woods is making sure that everyone can watch every second of the action.

Shown over a whopping seven different screens, catch every England game

There will be ample seating for all those wanting to catch a game or too. Choose from an indoors spot by the fire or catch the action outdoors whilst keeping covered and heated, with both smoking or non smoking areas to choose from.
