Five new episodes of the award-winning “Rob Burrow Seven Meets” podcast series celebrating the life and legacy of the late rugby league star will soon be available.
Recorded before his heartbreaking death from Motor Neurone Disease, Rob Burrows continues to ask seven questions to different sporting stars in the final series of his popular podcast.
The podcast Seven launched last year on BBC Radio Leeds, which aimed to showcase inspirational stories much like his own from sporting greats.

The new series, which is produced by BBC Local, will be available on BBC Sounds and BBC Radio Leeds from next Thursday 26 September, which also would've been Rob's 42nd birthday.
As always, during the recordings Rob’s wife Lindsey was by her husband’s side and said: “Rob had so much enjoyment recording the podcast. He would want people to hear the episodes and the fun and the laughter, that was what Rob was about.
"He never felt sorry for himself. He just got on with life and I think he'd be proud to have this series out, I really hope people enjoy listening to it and remember what a great guy Rob was.”
Chris Burns, Controller of Audio Commissioning said: “Rob was a unique talent and incredibly well-loved. He approached his illness with bravery and humour and that shines through every episode of the podcast. I am proud that we were able to work with him and his wife Lindsey on such a special project.”

Matcha is well and truly taking Leeds (and the country) by storm.
You're probably bored of hearing us talk about matcha, and to be honest we're getting a little bit bored writing about it.
But, this time it's different.
This is M Plus Matcha, a brand-new matcha store that's just opened near Leeds University who not only serve your classic matcha lattes but also bucket loads of freshly-churned gelato.

And to make things even better, they've got four on offer all at different percentages to suit your taste.
Soft and grassy, smooth and creamy, full and velvety…or deep and bold (they said it, not us) - this spot is truly a matcha lover’s summer paradise.

If you're not sure what flavour you fancy, the lovely staff are on hand to help and can offer tasters of each percentage before you commit to a cone or a tub so you're not left disappointed.
The space is gorgeously light and airy, complete with matcha-coloured walls and plenty of matcha-coloured seating for you to perch and enjoy your treats.

Right opposite the Parkinson Building, we can see M Plus Matcha becoming a fantastic hub for students to whack their laptops out for a couple of hours whilst getting their caffeine fix.
The drinks menu includes iced matcha lattes, hot matcha, matcha lemonades and loads more. Basically, if you're of the opinion that matcha tastes like grass then we do not recommend you going.
But if you love it like us, then you're in for a treat.
Global pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo says she ‘really wants to go to Leeds’ in 2026
Clementine Hall
American pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo has outlined her ambitions for 2026 - and one of them involves a trip to Leeds.
It's safe to say the concept of Olivia Rodrigo taking a stroll down Briggate or waiting for a train at Platform 16 is one we're struggling to get our heads around, but we're absolutely not mad about it.
The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter is known for her love of the UK, having been spotted spending chunks of time in both Manchester and London over recent years.
But in a recent interview with Hits Radio UK, Olivia Rodrigo stated she wanted to explore more of the UK. And the city at the top of her list? Leeds.
When asked if she has a favourite area of the UK, she said: "I spent some time in Manchester which was really nice. Very inspiring, so many great bands from there.
"I spent some time in Wales too, which was fun. I've been around but I need to go and see more things. I really want to go to Leeds this year. I think that'll be fun. Just like as a spectator, I think that'll be cool."
You know what Olivia, it absolutely will.
Interviewer Will Best then suggests she attends a Leeds match to which she responds "yes" enthusiastically.
So next time we're at Elland Road we'll definitely be keeping a firm eye out for Miss Rodrigo who we've no doubt will look exceptional in a Leeds United jersey.
