The UK’s best cities for street art have been crowned, and our wonderful city of Leeds has of course made the list.
Yorkshire cities are home to some of the most iconic graffiti pieces in the UK, so it’s no surprise that Leeds has featured amongst the best street art cities in the country.
A new study by Betway deciphered the best cities by sifting through data to determine the best places for graffiti.
The sort of the stuff that stops you in your tracks and makes you whip your phone out to take a picture for the gram.
The top ten list was curated using a range of factors such as the number of street art murals; Instagram; TikTok posts and articles with city and street art mentions as well as the relevant engagement.
There were a whopping 132 cities analysed.
London took the top spot for the best city for street art in the UK (shock) with over 440 street art locations, whilst Sheffield was named the best Yorkshire city coming in fifth place overall with 154 street art locations.
Leeds, took the tenth spot with a smaller number of just 43 but we will absolutely take it.
Taking the second spot was Bristol with 214, then Belfast coming in third with 340m then Manchester being the only Northern city to beat Sheffield coming in at number four.
From the famous You&Me, Me&You mural designed by Anthony Burrill to the historic Cornucopia mural opposite the Corn Exchange, there’s so many jaw-dropping and photo-worthy pieces of art to see all over the city.
