Mariah Carey is releasing a new Christmas single for 2021

All I want for Christmas is some new music from Mariah

Mariah Carey fans are currently going wild online after the singer has announced she’ll be releasing a new Christmas single for 2021.

Not content with dominating the Christmas charts for the past 27 years with her 1994 hit All I Want for Christmas, the pop superstar is getting ready to do it all again – just in time for this year’s festivities.

Collaborating with Khalid, Mariah Carey’s new track Fall In Love At Christmas is one for singles looking for love – following in the footsteps of her previous festive hit.

The new Christmas track also features a guest appearance from Grammy award winner Kirk Franklin, a US choir director, and gospel singer best known for leading choirs such as The Family, God’s Property, and One Nation Crew.

Mariah has already teased out a snippet of the new song via her Twitter, sending fans into a fever pitch of excitement ahead of its release.

The thirty-second preview includes the song chorus, which features Carey and Khalid singing together over a mellow, soulful R&B beat.

Lending a gospel edge to the proceedings, Kirk Franklin will make a welcome addition to the track – which is due to be released in full later this week.

The accompanying artwork shows images of all three contributors as young children, overlaid on a gold wrapping paper-style background covered with Christmas trees.

Carey ushered in the start of the festive season by sharing an image of herself smashing up pumpkins using a candy cane bat – posted with the caption, “it’s time.”

It might only be the start of November, but the self-proclaimed queen of Christmas has already entered the charts in the US with festive favourite All I Want for Christmas.

Set to be released on Friday, November 5, fans are already pre-ordering the new single now as they eagerly await its release.
