If there’s one thing we love, it’s a wine bar.

Okay, it’s safe to say we might be getting a little bit ahead of ourselves but when you find out what we’re talking about you won’t blame us for doing so.

Once Upon A Vine is a gorgeous independent wine shop and bar nestled in Horsforth, known for its fabulous tasting room and cheese boards to match.

And it seems that they’re about to open a second site over in Headingley, pending license approval.

A poster on the window of their proposed site says: “We are a wine shop and tasting room serving an ever-changing list of wines-by-the-glass as well as artisan cheese & charcuterie boards. The best you can get!

“Buy a bottle (or a case!) to take home or have a glass here in-store. We also sell our charcuterie & cheese and other deli items to take away too!

“We’ll host twice-monthly wine tasting evenings with themes such as “Wine & Retro Crisps” and “Wines Of Tuscany” plus many, many more!

“We’ve been open in Horsforth since 2018, and now we’re hoping you’ll welcome us in Headingley!”

Well, we couldn’t have put it better ourselves.

We don’t know the exact location, but the new shop is located next to the lovely Swine Bistro. So they really couldn’t be amongst better company.

We’ll keep our fingers and toes crossed that these guys get the all important license, and hopefully we’ll see you soon for a glass or three.
