Police issue urgent appeal to find missing ‘high risk’ 14-year-old girl from West Yorkshire

She has not been seen for over five days.

Police are appealing for information on the whereabouts of a missing teenager from West Yorkshire.

Local forces said they are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of 14-year-old Monika Molnar – also known as Amy – who has not been seen for over five days.

The teenager is categorised as “high risk”, according to West Yorkshire Police (WYP) and Greater Manchester Police (GMP).

GMP said the last known sighting of Monika was on Greenbrow Road in Wythenshawe on Tuesday 10 August.

“Monika has been going by the name of Amy,” GMP said in a statement issued over the weekend.

“She was last seen wearing all black clothing with black shoes, carrying a large black rucksack, with a black holdall bag.”

The statement continued: “If anyone has any information about her whereabouts or has had contact with Monika / Amy, then please contact us quoting log 616-15082021.

“The easiest way to do this is online using the chat facility to the bottom right of the screen, which takes you directly through to a call handler.

“Alternatively, if you know her current location, then please call 999.”

Dogs Trust Leeds is looking to find a ‘forever’ home for their loneliest dog

Meet Edie, the lovely Shar Pei at Dogs Trust Leeds who has had 41 first dates at but still hasn't found her 'forever' home.

Edie is a beautoful 7-year-old Shar Pei who has been waiting to find her forever home longer than any other dog at Dogs Trust Leeds.

She joined the charity back in 2020, after the death of her owner.

Edie has spent over 4,000 days at the charity and has been adopted 41 times, but is still yet to find her forever home.

We're not crying, you are.

Edie is described as an 'amazing dog' who can be'very shy initially but with a little time and plenty of treats she will soon be nudging you for a bit of fuss!'.

Dogs Trust Leeds states: "She’s also worried by other dogs, but she’s proven that in a home where she won’t see them up close, she is a dream. She's been for sleepovers to her handlers home and she was the perfect house guest! Very relaxed, fully housetrained, and happy to just chill out. We know that in a peaceful adult only home where she’ll be the only pet she will thrive."
