Ricky Gervais announces Leeds date for brand new stand-up show

The iconic comedian is returning to first the direct arena for his highly- anticipated brand-new show ‘MORTALITY’.

Get ready to laugh your socks off because Ricky Gervais is coming back to Leeds.

He’ll be bringing his brand-new stand-up show to the first direct arena on Thursday 26 June 2025, and it’s set to be a corker.

Fresh from his most recent stand-up special ‘Armageddon’ winning a Golden Globe, hitting the coveted number one spot on Netflix as well as claiming the world record for the highest grossing comedy gig of all time, ‘Mortality’ will once again be filmed for the popular streaming service.

But you just can’t beat seeing it live, right?

With over 80 work-in-progress shows now under his belt just this year, Ricky Gervais said, “We’re all gonna die. May as well have a laugh about it. Mortality looks at the absurdities of life and death. Bring it on.”

As Gervais has done with all his previous tours, a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to charity.

A whopping £1.91 million was donated to worldwide animal charities at the end of his Armageddon tour in 2023, and we predict the same achievement for this tour.

Tickets are on sale from this Friday 13 December at 9am, and you can grab yours here via the first direct arena website.

Or if you can’t wait until then, then you can register for presale tickets that will go live on Thursday 12 December at 10am by signing up to the arena’s newsletter here.
