The University of Leeds has ranked 75th globally in the 2024 QS World University Rankings, climbing an impressive 11 places.
Climbing 11 places to reach 75th in the world, it is Leeds University’s highest ever position in the QS ranking’s 20-year history.
The highly respected rankings consider research and discovery, employability and outcomes, learning experience, global engagement and sustainability in their methodology.
A key strength identified was the University’s impressive International Research Network, for which indicator the University was ranked 16th in the whole world.

The 20th edition of the QS World University Rankings features a whopping 1,500 institutions across 104 locations, and is the only ranking of its kind to emphasise employability and sustainability.
The results draw on the analysis of 17.5m academic papers and the expert opinions of over 240,000 academic faculty and employers.
Topping the list is the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) followed by the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford.
Other UK Universities making it into the top 10 are Imperial College London in 6th place and UCL in 9th place.
