We will soon be able to hop onboard a new train service and explore the Yorkshire Dales in all their glory.
Fancy an adventure this summer? Well, Northern could have exactly what you’re looking for, as the train company has decided to bring back the ‘Yorkshire Dales Explorer’ train after it proved to be so popular with passengers the last time it was out on its travels , and the new service is all set to depart for the first time this Saturday (8 June).
Departing from Rochdale and making its way to Ribblehead, the newly-launched service will call at a wide range of local stations on its way – including Manchester Victoria , Salford Crescent, Bolton , Blackburn, Clitheroe, Hellifield, and Settle.
Adult return tickets will set you back just £25, which means that ramblers and nature lovers will be able to enjoy a day out in the Dales at a pretty-affordable price.

Anyone who buys a ticket for the ‘Yorkshire Dales Explorer’ service this summer will be able to make the journey in around two hours, and travel along a route that features some seriously stunning scenery in the process.
Northern’s Regional Director, Craig Harrop, has praised the “spectacular” new train service.
“We’re excited to introduce this brand-new service that will allow customers to travel into the heart of the Dales at a reasonable price this summer,” he commented.
Lizzie Bushby, who works within the Recreation Management team at the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority, also added that the new Northern service will not only provide opportunities for Northern residents to visit the National Park this summer, but the journey itself will also be a “great experience” and there’ll be “lots to do” when people arrive.

So to give this series of The Traitors a proper send off, get yourself to Belgrave Music Hall from 6pm and enjoy a few beverages with like minded fans whilst screaming at the screen as Claudia makes her way into the frame.

Johnny Depp supergroup Hollywood Vampires have announced a huge gig in Halifax

Hollywood Vampires are heading back out on tour, with a huge Yorkshire gig announced for this year.
The supergroup, which consists of one of the biggest names in Hollywood as well as one of rock’n’roll’s most iconic names, are set to perform at the AO Arena as part of a run of shows.
Hollywood Vampires is made up of A-lister Johnny Depp, as well as rock royalty including Alice Cooper, and Aerosmith’s Joe Perry, plus Tommy Henriksen.
They last performed with an arena tour back in 2023, making these their first gigs in almost three years.
Hollywood Vampires have now announced a return to the stage, with a show at the iconic Piece Hall in Halifax on 22 August.
They’ll be supported by The Jesus and Mary Chain, who marked their 40th anniversary in 2024 with a new album, Glasgow Eyes.

Hollywood Vampires formed in 2012, named after Cooper’s celebrity drinking club of the same name where the aim was reportedly to ‘drink until no one could stand up’.
Over the years, the supergroup has worked with the likes of Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, and Zak Starkey (formerly the drummer for Oasis).
A Three Presale for tickets will take place from 10am on Wednesday 21 January, followed by a venue presale on Thursday 22 January, then general sale from 10am on Friday 23 January.
