In what can only be described as a proper stroke of culinary genius, Iceland has just launched hash browns the size of a plate.
And fans are already absolutely obsessed with them.
Hash browns are an integral part of British cuisine at this point, right? Those little crispy potato creations prove time and time again to be an ideal snack for anyone who finds themselves a bit reliant on fried food to get through a hangover from hell, or merely just to wake up on a lazy Sunday morning.
You may remember a couple of years back that Iceland started selling Heinz’s two new hash brown creations, hash browns filled with Heinz Baked Beanz and hash browns filled with tomato ketchup at its supermarkets across the UK, and it’s safe to say they’ve been going down a treat ever since, so we can only imagine these new plate-sized variations will be just as well-received.

If the hundreds of comments from hungry shoppers are anything to go by already, it looks like we’re right too.
Instead of being the little triangular or oval-shaped side accompaniments we’ve come to expect from a regular hash brown, Iceland’s Plate Sized Hash Browns are exactly what they say on the tin – hash browns the size of the plate you’ll probably need to serve them on.
Described as being “ridiculously crispy”, these new plate-sized hash browns come in boxes of two, and are suitable for cooking from frozen in either the oven, a pan, or the air fryer.
The best bit? It’ll only set you back £2 for a box, so you won’t need to break the bank either.
Reviews from foodies who’ve already been able to head on down to their nearest Iceland and get their hands on the new potato creation seem to be glowing already, with one fan summing the experience up simply by writing on Iceland’s official Instagram post introducing the new creation that they’re “the stuff of dreams”.
Others have been taking to the comments to share their thoughts and tips on how best to serve them, or give ideas on quirky ways to incorporate them into meals.
“Wrap it in a Yorkshire pudding and you’re sorted,” one person wrote, while another added: “Fill it with the rest of a full breakfast,” and a third commented: “Two of these with crispy smoked bacon sandwiched between. Absolutely delicious”.
Other fans chipped in with suggestions like: “Yummy with bacon, beans, sausage, egg, and brown sauce all on top”, and “I see a hash brown pizza creation in the future.”
The Iceland Plate-Sized Hash Browns are now available across the UK for £2, and you can find the opening times of your local Iceland here.

The UK’s leading K-pop retailer is opening its first Yorkshire store in Leeds
Clementine Hall
The Merrion Centre is set to welcome one of the UK’s fastest-growing specialist music retailers.
K-pop fans, you're going to love this one.
Soft launching on Friday 22 May, K-pop Korner Leeds will open initially as a pop-up store, becoming the brand’s fourth UK location and its first in the north of England.
Recognised as the UK’s leading dedicated K-pop retailer, K-pop Korner stocks official K-pop albums, signed albums, light sticks and rare collectibles imported directly from Korea.
Not only that, but the brand has developed a strong national following through fan events, trading days, concerts and exclusive product launches.
The Leeds opening follows the success of K-pop Korner’s existing stores in London Waterloo, London Euston and Nottingham, with growing demand from fans across Yorkshire and the north driving the expansion.
Anastasia Tsappis, Director of K-pop Korner, said: “We’re incredibly excited to bring K-pop Korner to Leeds and finally create a dedicated space for fans in Yorkshire and the North of England. Community has always been at the heart of what we do and we’re looking forward to building a welcoming environment where fans can meet, discover new merchandise, celebrate their favourite artists and enjoy special events together.
“Our community has been asking for a more accessible location outside London and the Midlands for a long time, so Leeds felt like the natural next step. The Merrion Centre stood out because of its vibrant atmosphere, fantastic city-centre location and strong connection to entertainment and youth culture.
“We want the opening to feel like more than just a store launch. It’s about celebrating K-pop fandom and creating memorable experiences for the local community. We’re especially excited to see fans come together for our opening events and experience the energy and excitement that makes K-pop culture so special.”
