A northern pizzeria that has been crowned amongst the best in the world is set to open its second site in Leeds this summer.
Known for its classic Neapolitan pizzas, which feature a thin base and a lightly charred crust, Rudy’s Neapolitan Pizza will open its doors in Chapel Allerton this July.
Even better, as part of the new opening, the restaurant will be giving away 5,000 free pizzas to its neighbours to celebrate its arrival in the north Leeds suburb.

It will be the second site for Rudy's pizza here in Leeds following on from its New Station Street restaurant, which first opened in 2020.
The relaxed neighbourhood pizzeria will take over the former Casa Mia site at 10 - 12 Stainbeck Lane.
Diners will find classic Napoli pizzas like marinara, margherita and calabrese, as well as a range of regularly changing specials like white pizzas and those with inventive vegan bases.
As for drinks, you'll find a classic Italian-dominated wine list, popular aperitivos like Aperol Spritz and Campari soda, and a selection of different beers and softs.
Creating light and classic Neapolitan pizza since 2015, with the original Rudy’s situated in Ancoats, Manchester, the pizzeria has since opened sites in Leeds, Greater Manchester, Soho, Liverpool, Birmingham and Sheffield.
Rudy’s dough is made fresh daily using Caputo ‘00’ flour which ferments for at least 24 hours.

The dough is made fresh on-site every day and cooked in wood-fired ovens for just 60 seconds, all in accordance with Neapolitan pizza tradition, leaving it soft and floppy with a leopard patterned cornichon (crust).
Gabi, General Manager of Rudy’s Chapel Allerton said: “We’re really excited to bring Rudy’s to the neighbourhood.
"It won’t be long before we are able to fire up the oven and serve delicious Neapolitan pizza. As a team we can't wait to become part of the community.”

They've been keeping the people of Leeds awake since 2013, and you'll find their coffee across the country as well as at their current city centre locations.
One of their brand-new locations inside the Victoria Quarter will be opening next Monday 1 June.

Clementine Hall
Leeds City Council has appointed Thor's tipi as the new operator of Leeds Christmas Market 2026 on City Square.
We hate to mention the C word in May... especially in the midst of a heatwave, but just bare with us on this one.
The beloved Leeds Christmas Market will have a new operator this year, as creators of pop-up seasonal bars Thor's Tipi have been given the responsibility by Leeds City Council.
