When it comes to brunch, there's not much we haven't tried. Here in Leeds, we're spoilt for choice, with everything from benedicts to gyros on offer - if you know where to look.
But now, there's another new addition to the city's dining scene that really needs shouting about.
The Botanist has just unveiled a huge new brunch offering, giving diners the chance to build their perfect meal from scratch.
Featuring a seemingly endless number of combinations, there's everything from yoghurt and scrambled tofu to Biscoff french toast, Croque Monsieurs and smoked trout pate on offer.
The brand-new concept from the restaurant chain lets you select five small plates from a choice of 28 different options, all served on a wooden board and priced at £15.95 per person.

If you’re really hungry though, extra dishes can be added for an additional £3 each, reports The Manc.
So, how does the build your own brunch board actually work then?
Well, it’s split into five categories – bakery, protein punch, hearty, on the side, and sweet treat – to give you a wide range of mouthwatering options, with some of the dishes including ham hock egg benedict, Croque Monsieur, smoked trout and salmon pate, acai berry protein smoothie, and Nutella and Biscoff french toast.
There are plenty of options suitable for vegans and those following a plant-based diet too, with dishes including Scrambled Tofu with sundried tomato oil and toasted seeds, plant-based Cumberland sausage, mini hash browns, and passionfruit and chia yoghurt.
There’s over 98,280 different combinations to choose from / Credit: The Botanist
Diners can either choose one dish from each section to create a balanced board of options or choose any five dishes they like from the full list.
This means there’s a total of a whopping 98,280 different combinations to create.
That’s not all either as there’s a drinks package upgrade too, with new brunch cocktails that have been expertly crafted by The Botanist’s in-house “cocktail wizards”, including smoked rose-mary, Campari G&T, and watermelon garibaldi, as well as a range of nourishing and freshly-prepared Juice Boosts.
The Botanist Brunch is now available from 9am at participating sites, although specific service days and times vary depending on individual venues, and you can find out more information here.

Cult favourite burger chain Burgerism is officially coming to Leeds this summer
An award-winning burger chain is coming to one of Leeds' suburbs.
If you don't know Burgerism, then get to know.
The Manchester-based burger chain is known by many for its incredible smash patties and quick, reliable service.
Their concept is simple: good burgers made with quality ingredients and cooked fresh to order. Delicious.
And it's not just burgers, they've also got some great wings and fries available too with a range of homemade sauces on offer for dunking, drizzling and devouring. We're a particular fan of the buffalo wings with their garlic ranch dip.
The chain used to have a dark kitchen on the outskirts of the city where people could order via Deliveroo, however this closed down and since then there's been a Burgerism-shaped hole left in our foodie scene.

Burgerism recently applied to move into a vacant shop unit in Meanwood at 605 Meanwood Road, seeking change-of-use planning permission for the former Papa Johns site which was previously only allowed to serve...well, pizzas.
And the plans have now been approved, which means Burgerism will officially be coming to Leeds. Hurray!
Burgerism's new takeaway will be walking distance from the The Meanwood Tavern, perfect for those looking for some post-pint burgers.
It will be strictly takeaway with no dine-in option available.
The brand-new Burgerism will employ 15 people from the local area with food being served between 11am and 11pm.
We'll keep you up to date as and when we find out more, but for now we're aware that Burgerism Leeds is set to open this summer.
Bring Me The Horizon announce huge Manchester gig for Count Your Blessings anniversary
Danny Jones
Bring Me The Horizon have sent British rock fans into bedlam by booking a special anniversary gig celebrating 20 years since their debut album, Count Your Blessings, and we’re lucky enough that it’s coming to Manchester.
And that’s not the only massive announcement they’ve dropped along with it.
It seems hard to believe it’s been two whole decades since the Northern favourites first burst onto the scene with their first LP, and the Yorkshire heavyweights have come a long way since, both sonically and career-wise in general.
Teaming up with Outbreak ahead of their 2026 festival, they teased the show with a series of posters dotted around Manchester city centre last week.
Yes, the band are set to perform their maiden studio outing, along with a few bonus tracks, in its entirety for the first time EVER.
.@OutbreakFest Presents: Count Your Blessings | Repented
played in full, for the first time ever [manchester 10th july 2026] + other bangers.
It remains unclear whether they’ll be playing it in the original order, nor do we know how many big hits from other albums they’ll be throwing into the set.
All we know is that it’s going to be absolute chaos in those pits.
Presented by Outbreak, the landmark show will be held at the Bowlers Exhibition Centre, a.k.a. the BEC Arena, where the hardcore, punk and all things alternative festival is hosted every year.
Even the poster alone is making us feel nostalgic for our ‘mosher’ phase (as if it ever ended); get your fringes, skinny jeans and checkerboard Vans at the ready.
One of the biggest names to have ever come out of Sheffield – an impressive feat in itself given its rich musical heritage – they’ve done wonders for heavier genres domestically.
Whether you dub them emo, metal, deathcore/anything and everything in between, you can’t deny they’re one of the biggest UK exports this scene has ever, well, seen.
Better still, the all-day event will also feature performances by Static Dress, Rolo Tomassi, Dying Wish, Heriot, Car Underwater and Still In Love.
Last but not least, in arguably even more exciting news, the band have also revealed that they are releasing a full re-recorded version of Count Your Blessings to mark the milestone, dubbing it the ‘Repented‘ version. Not to exaggerate, but we’re absolutely screaming over here…
Fans get their hands on early access by pre-ordering the remastered album from a special old-school, very Myspace-esque landing page; as for general admission, tickets go on sale at 10am this Friday, 17 April – you can get ready to grab yours HERE.
