“We’ve loved being part of this wonderful community and have made so many friends.”
Horsforth plays host to plenty of wonderful bars and restaurants, packing in seemingly unlimited places to grab a pint on a Friday night or snack with friends, but popular bar and kitchen Banyan has just announced that it will no longer be operating in the area.
Owned by Arc Inspirations, which has been running since the early 00s, Banyan Horsforth had remained a staple night out stop for well over a decade in the local area.
Having originally opened as Kobe, the New Road Side venue ran as one of eight Banyan venues up until the weekend.
Banyan Horsforth put out this heartfelt statement just a few short hours ago…
“Banyan Horsforth is now permanently closed. Thank you so much for your custom over the years, we’ve loved being part of this wonderful community and have made so many friends. Don’t be a stranger, we’d love to continue to welcome you to our Banyan bars in Leeds City Centre, Roundhay, Ilkley and Harrogate.”
The post has already been inundated with locals sharing memories at the popular bar and kitchen:
“Really sad to hear this, love coming for the quiz on a Tuesday. Best of luck to all the staff x.”
“That’s really sad. It’s a pity you couldn’t make it work. Loved the outdoor seating area, especially during the lockdown era when you could drink outside with mates.”
