A builder who won the lottery celebrated his win by going back to work and buying a round of bacon butties for all his coworkers.
Paul Bevans, from Pembrokeshire in Wales, popped down to his local Nisa store on Marble Hall Road in Milford Haven a couple of months back on 27 March to buy himself a lottery ticket - and to his surprise, the ticket he bought ended up matching all five main numbers in the National Lottery’s 'Set For Life' draw.
His win means he now gets an impressive jackpot of £10,000 every month for a year.
"I couldn’t believe what I was seeing," Paul told the National Lottery after his win, "In fact I was so unsure, that I scanned the ticket about five times with my eyes firmly open, and each time there was the same winning message."
The 50-year-old wasted absolutely no time in celebrating after hitting the jackpot, but first made sure to hop in his van and head back to work to "show [his] boss and the other lads" the ticket, before heading to the local shop to get it checked over properly and calling the National Lottery.
Not only that, but he also treated his work pals by "shouting the lads a bacon, sausage and egg roll to celebrate" his win.

Paul has revealed that, for now, he has no plans to stop working despite his win, and once he made the call to the National Lottery to confirm the ticket, he headed straight back to the house clearance job he was on along with everyone else.
He has said that he's beginning to think about what the future may hold, and does have a couple of ideas on his wish list for spending his winnings.
"To be honest it really hasn’t sunk in," Paul admitted.
"The idea that £10,000 will be paid to me every month for the next year takes some getting used to. I’ve worked all my life but never had money like that, or dreamt I ever would, but I do have a few ideas up my sleeve.

"I won’t be buying anything too soon, I’ve waited this long so I’ll wait until the end of the summer when there should be some good deals about.
"If I can get the time off, I might book myself a little trip to Jamaica, as years ago my mum went and she said it was an island paradise, so I fancy a bit of that. And the only other thing on my wish list for now is a trip to Anfield to see Liverpool play at home.
"I’ve been a lifelong fan and never seen them play, other than on the telly."
Paul also started saving up for a campervan a couple of years back, and his winnings now mean he could be the proud owner of one by the end of the year "hit the open road and explore more of Wales and the UK".
Those heading to Leeds Fest this weekend could get some of their money back thanks to a new tent pledge.
And it's all in an attempt to stop festival waste.
Decathlon is encouraging festival-goers to ditch the ‘one and done’ approach to festival camping by offering refunds when used tents are returned. How class is that?
Under the tent pledge, customers can get 100% of the original purchase price back as a Decathlon gift card, or claim up to 50% back in cash, depending on the condition of their tent.
The offer is available on Decathlon’s QUECHUA tents until Sunday 6 September.
It comes as concerns continue to grow around the amount of waste left behind at UK festivals. According to Decathlon, UK festivals generate around 25,800 tonnes of waste every year, while as many as 250,000 tents are abandoned in fields each summer.
But instead of leaving your tent behind, Decathlon is asking campers to bring it back to one of its stores, along with proof of purchase. It really is as simple as that.
Returned tents in good condition will be assessed, cleaned and potentially resold through the retailer’s Second Life programme, giving them another lease of life rather than sending them to landfill.
Customers have got to be Decathlon Members to take part, although membership is free and the retailer says refunds can be transferred to customers’ bank accounts in as little as an hour.
“Our No Tent Life Behind scheme goes from strength to strength each year,” says Chris Allen, Sustainability Leader at Decathlon UK.
“What started as a small-scale initiative has become an important part of how we approach camping and festivals more broadly - encouraging customers to return used equipment, keep valuable materials in circulation, and give more products a second chapter through our Second Life programme.
"This year, we’re helping customers’ pockets as well as our planet. With our new one-hour bank transfer service, we’re providing the flexibility and value needed to turn unused gear into new adventures."
Leeds Festival 2026 – drinks prices for beer, cider, wine, spirits and more

Leeds Festival 2026 is officially underway and we've rounded up drinks prices at the bars on the festival site.
While many of us will be sipping on warm cans of cider and boxes of wine at the camp sites, you can't take any of your own alcohol into the arena (where all the stages are) itself.
So you'll need to budget for drinks over the course of the weekend if you want to watch the headliners with a pint in hand.
And with headline performances from the likes of Fontaines D.C., Raye, Florence and the Machine and Dave, there's masses of amazing live music on the horizon at Leeds Festival 2026.

We're already on site at Leeds Festival ready to bring you all the action and updates from this massive weekend - staring with, importantly, drinks prices.
So, let's get into it...
This year you're looking at paying around £7 of beer and £7.50 £7.50 for a pint of cider.
Different for this year, is you'll get 10% off if paying with a Paypal debit card which you can get for free - which we think is pretty class and well worth your time.
You can take your own empty water bottles in to refill at water stations around the festival site.
You're also allowed to bring in sealed water/soft drinks which are 500ml or less.
And if you're taking your own booze into the campsites, remember that there's no glass allowed, so you'll need to decant anything into plastic bottles.
