The Darkness are heading to Leeds for an exclusive album launch show

I believe in a place called Leeds…

Rock legends The Darkness will be coming to Leeds performing their greatest hits alongside their new album.

Fans will be able to witness an exclusive full performance of their eight studio album Dreams On Toast in an intimate show at the Leeds Beckett Student Union this May.

They’ll also be treating us to a greatest hits set packed with classics like ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love’. What a banger.

Not only will Dreams On Toast feature arguably their best collection of songs yet, but The Darkness will also be hitting the road in March for their largest headline tour of the UK in years, solidifying their status as one of Britain’s, and indeed the world’s, most iconic rock bands.

With 17 UK dates on their whopping headline tour, including stops in Manchester, Hull, York, Newcastle, and of course Leeds, this is your chance to catch them live up north.

Northern Irish indie-rockers Ash will be supporting them on the tour, who first supported the English rockers on their ‘Permission To Land Tour’ over two decades ago.

Lead singer of Ash, Tim Wheeler, said: “In 2004 we toured the UK’s arenas with The Darkness as ‘Permission to Land’ catapulted them into the big league. Next March, 21 years later, we will reunite to tear across Britain before an epic crescendo at Wembley Arena.”

The Darkness will be heading to the Leeds Beckett Student Union on Saturday 17 May and tickets go on sale tomorrow, Friday 25 January at 10am.
