The huge LA-based fried chicken brand backed by Drake is heading to Sheffield for the very first time this year.
Get ready Sheffield, because Dave’s Hot Chicken is set to open in the the old Ask Italian site on Cambridge Street this February.
Dave’s Hot Chicken is famed for its signature Nashville-style hot chicken, which is served in seven different spice levels from No Spice to Reaper.
Expect sliders, tenders, ‘next-level’ top-loaded shakes and slushes.

The 'Reaper' is so hot that you even have to sign a waiver before trying it, so that's when you know its serious.
The brand has grown so quickly that in 2021, it caught the eye of none other than rapper Drake, who is a ‘significant investor’ in the brand.
The fast food chain currently has branches in Manchester, Birmingham, Stevenage and London, with this new Sheffield city centre restaurant set to continue their rapid growth.

Inside the new site on Cambridge Street, the interior will feature towering ceilings, exposed steelwork, and laser lights, claiming to be a ‘full-on sensory trip, where music, light and fried chicken will come together to create a high-voltage experience’.
There will also be custom graffiti inspired by L.A.-based street artists Splatterhaus and Dehm.
Dave’s Hot Chicken still has hour-long queues down in Manchester and London, several months after opening.
And this is just the start of a nationwide expansion.
So if you're brave enough to see just how hot Dave's chicken is, we'll keep you in the loop with an opening date as and when we find out more.
The full track list for the charity album has been released, featuring Fontaines D.C., Pulp, Olivia Rodrigo and loads more.
The legendary Sheffield indie group have been largely silent (as usual) since the release of their last album, The Car, back in 2022.
But today, the monkeys are back with a brand new song titled 'Opening Night' , in support of War Child's upcoming project to provide aid for children living through war.
That project being 'HELP(2)' - a brand new collaborative album inspired by the landmark 1995 release 'HELP' to engage music lovers globally in support of the charity's vital work.
The new album will be released on Friday 6 March and was brought to life through close collaboration with Abbey Road Studios, recorded predominantly across one extraordinary week in November 2025 under the stewardship of acclaimed producer James Ford.
There's so me pretty huge names on the album who have contributed, including Fontaines D.C, Pulp, Damon Albarn, Wet Leg, Young Fathers and so many more.
Recorded in a single day in 1995, the original ‘HELP’ album raised over £1.2 million, enabling War Child to provide vital support to thousands of children caught in the Bosnian conflict.

New Korean restaurant to replace Pieminster site on Division Street after shock closure
Clementine Hall
Signs have gone up for a brand new Korean restaurant on Division Street.
If you're like us and love a good pie and mash, then you'll have shared our deep sadness when Pieminster closed suddenly after 7 years in the city.
It was one of our favourite spots to fall into on a Sunday with a raging hangover when you just want some hearty grub to bring you back to life.
But it's not all doom and gloom, as there's been some life in the old site as signs go up for a new Korean restaurant.
'Omomo' will sell authentic Korean street food and bubble tea.
And this isn't the first Omomo, they've got a site in Derby which is a firm favourite amongst local foodies.
Dishes include everything from kimchi pancakes and fried dumplings to bibimbap, fried chicken, army stew, and bubble teas.
The best part? We don't have long to wait as Omomo will be opening its doors this Saturday 24 January.
Announcing the news to their social media, Omomo said: "We’re excited to announce the soft opening of OMOMO Korean Street Food & Bubble Tea in Sheffield City Centre.
"This is our second OMOMO, following the amazing love and support at our Derby restaurant — and we can’t wait to welcome Sheffield’s food lovers.
"Come try our bold Korean street food, crispy favourites, and refreshing bubble tea — and be part of our next chapter. See you soon, Sheffield!"
We can't wait to welcome Omomo to the city and try it out for ourselves.
