BBC Radio 2 live is hosting two days of live music in Temple Newsam Park on Saturday 17 September and Sunday 18 September 2022.
The event is said to have doubled in size from previous years and will feature performances from your favourite music artists whom are soon to be revealed over the coming weeks.
It was announced this morning by Zoe Ball on her morning radio show that BBC Radio 2 Live will be taking over Temple Newsam Park for two rocking days of live music on Saturday 17 September and Sunday 18 September 2022.
From what used to be ‘BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park’, the event is now heading up north and will be stretched over two days rather than just one.
Zoe revealed “It’s official! The news is OUT and I can tell you the whole Radio 2 family can’t wait to be in LEEDS this year for Radio 2 Live.
“We are ready for two days of dancing and singing along with our fabulous listeners and some brilliant live acts. Personally, I’m giddy to get my groove on in the Radio 2 DJ Tent!”.
Live in Hyde Park, otherwise known as Radio 2’s festival in a day has been running since 2011 and attracts an audience of up to 45,000 music lovers.
The festival is designed to appeal to the over 35 demographic as reflects the Radio 2 listeners but attracts a range of ages.
Previous headliners include Gary Barlow, Kylie Minogue and James Blunt.
The event is a good alternative to those who love music festivals but want to avoid camping on site. Although this festival will now be taking place over two days, it will still be a day festival with no camping facilities on site.

Although the musical acts are yet to be announced, you can expect performances from 20 different artists covering a range of genres including pop, rock, folk, country and indie. The festival will be hosted by Radio 2 presenters and will be broadcast live on the station, so you can still listen in if you are not able to make it there in person.
The event will be welcomed with open arms as it has been held virtually for the past two years due to the Coronavirus. More information about performers, presenters and tickets will be coming soon.
