Staff at Zucco restaurant in Leeds have been left 'heartbroken' after a car smashed into their restaurant in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The accident has forced the restaurant to shut just a week after reopening.
The popular Italian restaurant took to its social media pages around 5am on Tuesday morning to let customers know a car had driven "straight into the restaurant".
Sharing the news, they revealed a car crash on Meanwood road was responsible for the damage.
They also said the restaurant will be "closed for the foreseeable future" while the damage is repaired.
A further update posted around 7am said staff were heartbroken but fortunately "no one was hurt."
Zucco's initial Facebook post said: "To all our customers, a major car crash has happened on meanwood road and unfortunately a car has drove straight into the restaurant, we’re likely to be closed for the foreseeable future while we get this sorted. We’ll provide more information when we know more."
This was followed by: "It breaks our hearts seeing the restaurant like this after just being able to reopen but as you can see there’s been a big crash into the front of our restaurant, luckily no one was hurt but it looks like we are going to be closed for a while again... We promise we’ll be back as soon as possible but as this has never happened to us before we have no idea when #drivesafe"

Luxury Leeds steakhouse to undergo huge £1.2 million renovation
Leeds restaurant The Cut & Craft has announced further expansion plans for the spring.
Swanky all-day dining restaurant and bar, The Cut & Craft, is expanding its popular Leeds site, investing a whopping £1.2 million to create a new adjoining elegant bar, lounge and private spaces.
Located within the former historic Collinson’s Cafe, the renovation will transform the former neighbouring Paul Smith store, to extend the existing brand offering.
The extension will celebrate the original beauty of the space, whilst acknowledging the legacy of Wallace Hartley - a talented musician who played at Collinson’s Cafe in the early 1900s before his role as bandleader on Titanic during its maiden voyage.

The Grade II-listed building’s features including its iconic glass dome, stained glass and circular central bar will remain, with the addition of two beautifully designed private dining rooms.
The extension is due for competition this spring and will transform the existing venue into a space with seating for an impressive 370 covers.
