Sean Paul Live

Wednesday 24 August 2022 | First Direct Arena, Arena Way

The international icon and Grammy-award-winner, Sean Paul, is coming to Leeds later this month on the second night of his Scorcha Tour. As one of only eight cities the pop-reggae artist is visiting, this is set to be an evening for fans to sing, dance and serenade with over 13,000 other like-minded individuals that have been waiting since April for the postponed tour stop to take place. Expect a blend of classic hits, chart-topping anthems and new tunes for a night of all-singing, all-dancing party like no other.

Standing tickets start at £44.25, and £49.75 for seats.

Bingo Lingo at Chow Down

For those looking for the perfect way to celebrate the August Bank Holiday Weekend in Leeds city centre should look no further than Chow Down’s Summer Special Bingo Lingo event. We’re talking about bingo like you’ve never seen before. Think confetti-filled spaces with dance-offs, twerking aplenty and a hilarious combination of prizes available to those getting a full house (though with everything going on, it’ll be the last thing on your mind).

Returning with their sixth studio album, Stratos Bleu, Smoove and Turrell are bringing their analogue synths to the Brudenell Social Club this September- and it’s set to be a showstopper of an evening. With a fusion of early 90s clubbing music, reminiscent of hedonistic nights gone by, expect a night filled with conscious lyrics all to the steady beat of Mike Porter on the keyboard.

Chop Life Leeds Bottomless Brunch and Afterparty

This is Leeds’ first authentic Afrobeats and Amapiano bottomless brunch, and there’s going to be a whole lot of excitement surrounding the first of Chop Life’s day-to-night parties. The dress code is strictly summer and bright colours with no black clothing allowed, and guests are asked to bring ‘good vibes and energy’ to the unique event. So far, DJs Josh Weekes, Ryan Wilson and James Kelly have all been confirmed, plus a two course African-themed bottomless brunch, which includes 90 minutes of endless drinks.

Black Parade Club Night

A nostalgic night of 00s emo anthems and Chop Suey, Nu Metal anthems are pitching up at The Key Club over the bank holiday to bring back the best of old school emo music. Expect the likes of My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Taking Back Sunday, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, The Used, All American Rejects, Jimmy Eat World, Enter Shikari, You Me At Six, A Day To Remember, Pierce The Veil and plenty more until the early hours with like-minded punk-metal and alt music fans, the only person missing will be Gerard Way.

Better Days Festival Chapter 3: Summer Closing

Say goodbye to summer the right way: with an immersive experience, live musicians and a miniature funfair at Better Days Festival. The multi-arena outdoor fest is exploring Disco, Drum n Bass, House, Tech House and UK Garage all whilst offering plenty of spaces to chill out, unwind or for adrenaline seekers, take on some of the best rides around- and if that’s not enough, there will be street food vendors to keep you well fed, glitter artists to cover you in sparkles and walkabout performers to ensure that there’s never a dull moment.

Comedy Club at Chow Down

Wednesday 17 August 2022 | Chow Down, Temple Arches

Following on from their first sold-out event, Chow Down is bringing a night of hysterics to Temple Arches, and all those that need a mid-week break from reality and a good old fashioned belly laugh are highly encouraged to join. IT’s Dave Ward and up-and-coming talent from Simon Lomas, who recently supported Jason Manford on tour and Karen Bayley, as seen warming up crowds for Joe Lycett will join Matt Richardson, as seen on Celebrity Juice, for one-night-only, so get tickets whilst you can.

With huge Drum n Bass names like Enzo Siragusa, The Martinez Brothers, Eats Everything, Michael Bibi, Kristen Velvet, Shy FX, Sammy Virji previously on the bill, it’s easily going to be a showstopper of an event.
