New £2 million two-tier electric go karting track opens at Xscape this week

The highly-anticipated track is the second of its kind to open in the UK.

Opening on Friday 21 October 2022, tickets are now available to book on the Xscape website.

A new e-karting (thats electric go-karting) has been given the green light to become the latest feature at the adrenaline-filled centre, located just outside of Leeds- and it’s opening in just a few days time.

If you’ve ever fancied yourself as the next Lewis Hamilton, or love the thought of go-karting in an environmentally-conscious way: you’re going to love the latest addition to Xscape Yorkshire.

The e-karting track will be the second in the UK to open. The first was opened by Gravity Southside in Wandsworth last year and was decorated to fit a Japanese racing track theme.

The CEO and Co-Founder of Gravity noted this was a ‘pivotal moment’ for the company, adding that the company is expected to own over one million square foot of retail and high street space in the next two years- making this e-karting track just one of the new spaces set to open.

The track is going to be the first of its kinds in the North and you’ll get some serious speed on the e-kart too: they’ll be able to pelt you up to 40mph as you whizz around the track.

Located just twenty minutes from Leeds city centre, Xscape Yorkshire remains one of the best places to get your blood pumping and adrenaline flowing.
