The highly anticipated Yorkshire Pudding Festival returns to Leeds and is set to be 'bigger and better' than ever at unique new location.
Ink Events world’s first festival dedicated to Yorkshire’s favourite staple side dish attracted worldwide attention back in 2020.
This year they're making a comeback and the festival is set to be bigger and better than ever, taking over the rooftop at CitiPark Leeds Dock car park on 1 and 2 October 2022.
Visitors will be able to experience the offerings from a range of food stalls showcasing different cuisines from around the world, all inside the humble yet mighty Yorkshire Pudding of course.
There'll be a number of bars serving up speciality drinks, with the Yorkshire Pudding Beer Brewery showcasing Yorkshire Pudding Beer, Yorkshire Pudding Whisky, Yorkshire Pudding and Strawberry Jam Vodka, Yorkshire Pudding and Strawberry Jam Gin and Yorkshire Pudding Pink Gin.

And it doesn't just stop there, a new exciting attraction the ‘Pudd-tastic Kitchen’, will see Yorkshire’s own Great British Bake-Off star, Sandy Docherty hosting cooking sessions all weekend.
This also includes the Pudd-Off Challenge where two members of the public go head-to-head to prove they make the best Yorkshire Puddings in the world. So if you think you've got what it takes, then make sure to get yourself down to the festival and get whisking, mixing and showcasing your best ever yorky puds.
If you're more into the eating of the Yorkshire Puddings rather than the cooking, then the ‘Scoff Off’ Competition will see visitors eating as many Yorkies as they can in 3 minutes, with the current record standing at a whopping 60.

With the addition of independent craft and vintage stalls, live music playing on the ‘Gravy Stage’ and a dedicated children’s activity area, the weekend festival really will have something for all the family.
Ben Vollans, Event Production Manager of Ink Events said: “We were blown away with the success of our inaugural Yorkshire Pudding Festival where we welcomed over 10,000 visitors. It was incredible to see so many people there to celebrate our shared love of the Yorkshire Pudding with guests travelling from as far as Singapore!
"This year we have decided to move the festival to a much bigger location and we are spreading it out over a full weekend to make sure our guests get as much enjoyment out of the experience as possible. We are excited to work with CitiPark on this event and can’t wait for visitors to experience what this year’s festival at Leeds Dock has to offer”.
Tickets for the festival will go on sale this Friday 30 September at 6pm, and can be bought here on the festival's website.
One of Manchester’s most popular brunch spots, which always has queues down the street, has made its way across to Leeds at last.
Bruncho has opened on The Headrow this week, bringing its hit products like French toasts, Middle Eastern brunches, and iced matchas, to Leeds city centre.
Bruncho has also made a name for itself with its viral creations, including Labubu Dubai pistachio French toast (how many 2025 buzzwords can you get in one menu item?) and its collection of drinks served at -86°C.
We're sure that their weird and wonderful creations will go down just as well here in Leeds.
Bruncho has taken over the old Foley’s site, letting the unit’s huge arched windows and beautiful dark wooden floors do the talking.
The team have added in plenty of plants, seagrass lampshades, and colourful pieces of art to liven the place up.
But it’s really the menu where the colour kicks in with gusto - starting with the raspberry blue matcha made with 100% pure blue spirulina powder.

There’s also the pistachio and Kinder French toast, topped with loads of pistachios, fresh berries, and an upside-down ice cream cone.
If you prefer a savoury brunch, their New York-style breakfast rolls served in a croissant bun are worth your attention.
And new for Leeds is Bruncho’s new Turkish eggs offering, served inside a giant Yorkshire pudding. Obviously.
As for the counter, you’ll find all manner of creative pastries and bakes, like a Malteser cube pastry and Black Forest cruffin.
A new Turkish-inspired street food spot serving homemade shawarma is coming to Leeds city centre
Clementine Hall
Authentic Turkish street food is coming to Kirkgate.
Leeds city centre is gearing up to welcome yet another new food spot, and this one is all about homemade lahmacun, shawarma wraps and plenty of signature tahini sauce.
Tahin will open its doors at 10 Kirkgate, next to The Cat Cafe, and with signs already up we don't think it'll be long until they welcome their first customers.
The restaurant is listed as a Turkish restaurant that specialise in their homemade tahini sauce, hence the name.
According to the restaurant's Instagram profile which has been going for a few years, Tahin also specialises in home-made lahmacun wraps alongside shawarma wraps.
For anyone unfamiliar with lahmacun, the Turkish staple is often described as a thin, crispy flatbread topped with a richly seasoned mixture of minced meat, herbs and vegetables.
Wrapped up with fresh salad and sauces, it makes for a satisfying and flavourful lunch to enjoy on-the-go.
Their Instagram suggests that Tahin once existed before back in 2022, so although this may not be a completely new venture, we're nevertheless very glad to see them back.
Its location puts it right in the middle of one of Leeds' busiest areas, making it the perfect mid-shopping pit stop for those wandering around Briggate or stopping for a bite to eat before heading out on the town.
The new opening comes at a time when Leeds' food scene is continuing to expand, with a string of independent restaurants and street-food concepts opening across the city centre throughout 2026.
