A new designer handbag store is opening in Leeds this summer.
Luxury American fashion brand Kate Spade New York is known for its designer accessories, with Spade launching a hugely successful line of handbags in the 90s – made distinctive by their modern, sleek look, pops of colour and utilitarian shapes.
With that era very much back in vogue right now, we expect there’ll be some big demand for her products when they land in the city later this week.
When the announcement dropped that the store would be opening this Friday (25 June) on the Victoria Leeds Facebook page, it was met with huge excitement from fashion fans and garnered hundreds of likes.
Staff posted: “Kate Spade New York opens this Friday (25th June) in County Arcade We’ll be announcing some very exciting opening plans soon…”
Many commented to share their eagerness for the store’s arrival, with quite a few adding it would be worth making the trip into Leeds for that alone.
Kate Spade is said to be a key competitor to Michael Kors. Both are known for their designer bags and accessories, with bags retailing at around £250 and upwards.
