A series of concerts that take place surrounded by thousands of flickering candles will be taking over a Leeds landmark.
The Candlelight Concerts series takes the work of world-famous artists like Beyonce, Oasis, Fleetwood Mac and Coldplay, but strips it right back to basics.
Gone are the high-tech special effects and lighting installations we’re all so accustomed to now, replaced instead by simple candles and a small orchestra, plus occasional ballerinas.
Performed by a local string quartet from Leeds, Candlelight collaborates with talented local musicians who share the belief that classical music can resonate with a broader audience.

The concerts will take place at the beautiful St George’s Church on Great George Street, so you can already imagine how breathtaking the space will feel when filled with flickering candles.
Starting on Saturday 8 November at 6pm, St George’s will be transformed into an intimate concert setting kicking off first with music of Rings and Dragons.
Expect unforgettable themes from Game Of Thrones, Lord of The Rings and many more. Then just moments later at 8:30pm, Candlelight will present the music of Coldplay and Ed Sheeran through the mode of classical music.

Each candlelit concert lasts around an hour and is fully accessible.
You can buy tickets for different zones within each venue, but then it’s first-come first-served to get your actual seat.
It’s the perfect evening to enjoy as we embark into winter, and dare we say it might get us feeling a little bit festive.
So whether you’re a Coldplay or a Lord of the Rings fan, you can buy your tickets to the Candlelight Concerts here.
