Manchester City’s Jack Grealish was spotted having the time of his life backstage at Leeds festival this weekend.
The footballer, who’d scored an assist against Arsenal FC in the Premier League earlier that day, headed over to Leeds to party it up – and was even brought onto the main stage by none other than Stormzy.
Grime rapper Stormzy, who is known for his love of football amongst other things, brought the footballer out with him during his headline set on Saturday night and sent the crowd absolutely wild.
In the middle of a remix of Yaw Tog’s Sore, he even gave Grealish his own personal shout-out as he rapped “Slide in the middle like Grealish, my next hit’s bigger than my previous, red light’s looking all greenish.”
It’s no stranger that Stormzy is a fan of the footballer, given that he is often spotted wearing Grealish jerseys during public outings. But no one was expecting him to bring him out when he performed on Saturday.
Arguably the biggest cheer of the set, however, came when Stormzy reminded the crowd of Manchester United’s awful time when David Moyes was in charge.
That said, Stormzy wasn’t the only star Grealish was spotted rubbing shoulders with this weekend.
The footballer also shared pictures of himself partying it up backstage with Manchester rapper Aitch, as well as Jack Barlow and Youtuber Chunkz on his Instagram page in a post captioned “Leeds fest photo dump. What a weekend.”
This weekend, the festival welcomed thousands to Bramhall Park as it returned following a year’s hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
