Leeds Olympic gold medallist Nicola Adams has welcomed the arrival of her first child alongside long-time girlfriend Ella Baig.
After three years of fertility treatment, which the boxer has spoken openly about. the pair have proudly announced the birth of their first child.
During their struggle to get pregnant, the pair opened up to Vogue magazine about miscarriages and the struggle with doing rounds of IVF.
They also created an Instagram account dedicated to their son earlier this year, which already has over 1,000 followers.
The pair had previously shared the news that they were expecting, with Ms Adams tweeting: “We are so excited to announce that our family is expanding.
“After what feels like a lifetime, we can finally say we’re going to be parents! We’re so excited to share this magical journey with you all, the ups, the downs, everything in between. Welcome to the world little one.”
They have now shared the news of the little one’s arrival on Instagram yesterday, posting: “We are so excited to announce to the world that @babyadamsadventures has arrived.
“The first moment we laid eyes on you we felt an instant love and the strongest bond. We went to the moon and back to get you and we can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives watching you grow.”
