Wakefield get ready, because you can your hands on the viral Chicken Sandwich on Monday 7 October from 11am...and you don't even have to leave your car.
The wait is finally over, as the all-new American fried chicken restaurant will be opening its doors in just a week's time.
Located at Snowhill Retail Park, this new location marks the brand’s 19th opening in 2024, and that's only the beginning as the viral chain continues to take the UK by storm.
Popeyes® is gearing up to pull out all the stops to showcase its Southern hospitality as it brings a taste of Louisiana to West Yorkshire.

Famous for their ‘shatter crunch’ coating and staple items like Southern biscuits and gravy as well as the iconic Popeyes® Chicken Sandwich (genuinely lives up to the hype), they’ve also made waves when it comes to breakfast with a very solid early morning menu. The Cajun Hash Browns alone are immense.
And the best part? You can even get your hands on a free sandwich ahead of the launch by head signing up via the Popeyes® UK website.
But if one isn't enough, on opening day from 11am the first 3 people queuing both on foot and in cars will win free Chicken Sandwiches for a whole year.

Additionally, the first 100 customers will be rewarded with a free Chicken Sandwich, plus exclusive Popeyes® UK merchandise. To win, customers need to be one of the first 50 pedestrians in the queue, or one of the first 50 vehicles in the Drive Thru lane.
So we recommend getting down there as early as possible so you can bag yourself some freebies.
The new location will include 75 seats indoors and 16 outside, with a car park for customers who would like to dine inside the restaurant.

There will also be a Drive Thru lane, plus specifically designated ‘Park & Serve’ bays, allowing customers to order and be served by the team from the comfort of their vehicle. How class is that?
Tom Crowley, Popeyes® UK Chief Executive Officer, commented: “Following the success of our existing Popeyes® sites across Yorkshire, we’re really looking forward to opening our newest restaurant at Snowhill Retail Park. This will mark our fourth restaurant in the region, and we’re ready to bring a taste of New Orleans to Wakefield.”
Popeyes® UK have also announced the launch of a second new Drive-Thru location in Gildersome (they're really treating us), with opening plans to be revealed very soon.

It all started back in 1961 when Hungarian butcher Sandor Béres left his home city of Budapest during the 1956 uprising against the Stalinist government.
After the government took control of his father's butchers shops, Sandor set out to establish the chain once more and so, Béres was born.
And thank god it was, as for over 60 years now their iconic pork sandwich has been fuelling the hungry people of Sheffield, and we'd go as far to say it's one of the best sarnies in the city.

Hot roast pork, herby stuffing, crispy crackling and fruity apple sauce all crammed into a soft bap - it really doesn’t get much better than that.
But, what makes it so special? Béres claims it's all in the preparation and quality control.
Being a traditional butchers, their pork joints are traditionally roasted and cured in house to give that succulent texture and crispy crackling every single time.
They use around seven tonnes of pork and four tonnes of flour per week to feed us hungry lot, and it's no surprise when you see the queues forming outside your local Béres every lunch time.

The very first shop was born at Wadsley Bridge where they quickly built a reputation for their sandwiches, this then allowed them to become a proper Sheffield household name after expanding rapidly through the 2000s.
They now have 14 sites across Sheffield, and each site is as good as the next. Not only are the pork sandwiches class but if you're ever faced with a hangover no matter how severe, their stacked breakfast baps are always there to save the day.
But why we love Béres most of all is the lovely staff who are always there to offer a smile and a chinwag, but what else do you expect from the people of Sheffield hey?

We all know and love Silver's Deli for their stacked subs and breakfast sandwiches that could cure any hangover no matter how severe.

And it seems there's just no stopping Silver's, as last month they announced that they'll be opening a sister shop named 'Silver's Bakehouse' serving up everything, yep you guessed it, baked.
What exactly has not yet been revealed, with owner Chris keeping details tightly under wraps.
But what we do know is that every single thing will be made fresh, with love, in-house, at their new brand spanking new location in Farsley.
They've been keeping adoring fans updated on their socials with renovation updates, and it's already looking absolutely top tier.
Announcing the very exciting news to Instagram, Silver's Deli said: "Well it’s happening. I said no more shops, but it’s kinda necessary, and I just love all things baked.
"There’s waaaaaaaaay too many details to share on this right now, but go give our sister shop @silvers_bakehouse a new follow and hold on tight. This is gonna be fun as fuck."
We're in no doubt that this venture is going to be absolutely brilliant, and you best believe we'll be first in line to try one of those brownies.
Silver's Bakehouse will be located on Town Street in Farsley and is opening next Friday 22 May - just in time for the late May bank holiday weekend. We'll see you there.
