Four courses of fine Italian food with paired wines from Formula One’s official toast

One of Leeds’ best Italian restaurants is teaming up with the official toast of Formula One for a very special, one-off boozy dinner.

Stuzzi on Merrion Street has announced it’s planning to host a premium tasting dinner with Ferrari.

Chefs at the Grand Arcade restaurant will be pairing a selection of Trentino dishes with a selection of the Italian winemaker’s world-class sparkling wine collection on the night.

Diners will be treated to some of the top wines from Ferrari’s collection on the night alongside four classic dishes inspired by the lesser-known Italian region of Trentino.

The Stuzzi chefs have dreamt up a complementary menu of traditional, Trentino-inspired dishes, each designed to match perfectly with the selected vintage.

The exclusive evening with Ferrari will be hosted by brand ambassador, Alice Gatto, who’ll be on hand to guide guests as they sip through a carefully curated selection of sparkling wines.

The collection by Ferrari, which diners will get to sample on the evening, was recently crowned ‘Best Italian Sparkling Wine’ at the 2020 Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships.

Jimbob Director, Stuzzi: “This is a rare opportunity to taste the portfolio of the best sparkling wine producer in Italy.

“We are proud to stock Ferrari wines and to continue working closely with the company.

“The food we are pairing with the wines is based on our numerous trips to this lesser-known region and is very different to most people’s perception of ‘Italian’ food.

“Events like this don’t happen often enough in Leeds, let alone outside of London, and it feels great to start bringing them back to Yorkshire after the last 18 months.”

Taking place on Thursday 30 September from 7 pm, tickets are £55 and include four courses and a selection of wines. Arrival is from 7 pm, for a 7.30 pm start.

Tickets can be purchased here.
