The Cut & Craft are known in York for their comfortable yet stylish bar and restaurant, but the popular eatery is now opening in Leeds city centre next week. An impressive £1.2million has been spent on refurbishing the site which is drenched with history; in 1906 it was occupied by tea blending and coffee roasting company Collinsons for decades.

Newly opened Meanwood Tavern is brewing up quite a storm in Meanwood, and you’ll find something exciting to do every single day of the week. Tuesday 25 October 2022 | First Direct Arena, Arena Way
A performance that needs no introduction. Billy Idol will be bringing Television and Toyah Willcox to the First Direct Arena for a night of punk rock and heavy metal. The White Wedding singer will be taking Leeds down memory lane with best hits from the 80s that we all know and love, still forty years on.

Tuesday 24 October – Sunday 30 October 2022 | Regency Hall, Bradford
Van Gogh Alive takes people on a trip through the periods of Van Gogh’s life that defined him as an artist – showcasing 3,000 images including iconic works like Starry Night, Sunflowers and lesser-known paintings inspired by his love of Japanese woodprints. The exhibition is also home to a life-sized walk-in representation of Van Gogh’s ‘Bedroom in Arles’ painting and a ‘Sunflower selfie room’ – a 360° mirrored space complete with hundreds of sunflowers.

Tuesday 24 October – Saturday 29 October 2022 | Parkinson Building, Woodhouse
Inside Leeds University Library Galleries on the University of Leeds campus, The Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery is free for all to access, and makes up a collection of both European and British creative works of painting, drawings, and prints. The collection spans from the 1600s to the present day, as well as presenting a small collections of sculpture and ceramics, with photographs dotted throughout.

There’s far more than just grabbing your pumpkin for spooky season here. Thursday 26 October 2022 | Corn Exchange, Leeds city centre
Cheesy Living Co. is the one-stop for all Yorkshire foodie goods, that’s obvious- but the store is open for far more than your lunchtime needs and weekend treats. Every Thursday you’ll find unmissable cheese-fuelled events, this week being an two hour fondue night with swiss style fondue for two with paprika potatoes, balsamic onions, crusty baguette

Friday 28 October, 7.30pm | Headingley Stadium, Headingley
The Rugby League World Cup is fully underway, and the third of the four men’s tournament games in Leeds will be played at Headingley Stadium this week. Tickets are available from just £10 for the Men’s, Women’s and Disabled tournaments, with tickets for under 16s coming in at just £2.21 each.

Returning to Leeds for what is being called the city’s biggest Halloween show, Solardo will be back in Leeds after a record sell-out show at The Warehouse last year. In the Main Room you’ll find Solardo plus MAUR and Ammara, whilst the Loft will host BTAY and Tom Haigh. There’s just over 10% of tickets remaining for this one, so make sure you grab tickets whilst you can.

The supper club menu features three options for starter, main and dessert. Highlights from the menu include a Chicken and Mushroom Terrine with chicken skin crisp and sage and lovage pesto for starter, Pan Fried Sea Bream with artichoke, kohlrabi and fennel escabeche for main and a glorious Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert topped with unctuous vanilla bean ice cream. Playing a fusion of club classics, funky house, nu disco and old skool tunes, the Our House X Federation is set to bring the house down on Halloween special. Themed around the Day of the Dead, the main room will feature funky house and classics from Dale Castell, Rob Tissera, Marc Leaf, Tony Walker, John Marshall and Stuart Robinson whilst the Loft will host Angel Lee and Alice Bailey for an all-night nu disco special.
