Fish and chips…but make it fancy.

This Yorkshire cafe has created the ultimate afternoon tea with a twist – and the twist is a delicious serving of fish and chips.

Afternoon Tea is a real treat – there’s just something special about nibbling on dainty finger sandwiches, delicate sweet treats and fruity scones all placed on a tiered stand.

But if cucumber and cream cheese sarnies aren’t your thing, then a cafe based in Whitby are the answer to your prayers.

They serve up an incredible Fish & Chips Afternoon Tea which you can enjoy whilst taking in breathtaking views of the seaside out of their perfectly placed windows.

Inside Hetty & Betty

Hetty & Betty is the oldest fish and chip cafe in Whitby, so it’s fair to say they know exactly what they’re doing when it comes to the classic British dish.

Having opened its doors back in 1928 as Mill’s Cafe, they’ve been serving the good people of Whitby with their beloved dish ever since.

So what does the afternoon tea consist of you may ask? Well, guests will be served two battered fish, two portions of chips, a serving of mushy peas, tartare sauce, a side of bread and to top it all off, two scones with jam and clotted cream.

It’s fair to say you won’t be going home hungry.

You can get all of this for just £26 per person and if you fancy a tipple with it, you can add prosecco where it totals to just £39 per person.

We can’t think of any better way to enjoy the Yorkshire seaside, can you?
