The oldest and most iconic pub in Leeds is hosting a summer beer festival this week

Cheers!

It’s that time of the year again.

There’s nothing quite like a nice fresh pint, and we all know Whitelock’s Ale House know how to pour a good one.

And luckily for us, they’ll be hosting their incredible annual beer festival this week from Thursday 17 to 20 Sunday July 2025.

The theme of this year’s event? Summer holidays.

That’s right, Whitelock’s and The Turk’s Head will be cheers’ing to the very best of summer style beers from around the UK. We can’t think of anything more refreshing to be honest.

The festival, which first launched back in 2016, has a new theme each year.

Last year’s theme, ‘Leeds! Leeds! Leeds!’, celebrated all things local beer over the course of the weekend, shining a light on all the fantastic local breweries in the region.

This year expect ultimate seaside vibes with the fabulous team from Whitelock’s presenting the very best of UK beers for us to sample.

Announcing the news to Instagram, Whitelock’s and The Turk’s Head said: “We’ve been off on our jollies — tasting, touring and chasing the best indie beers from across the UK and Ireland, and now we’re bringing it all home for one big summer bash

“For one weekend only, we’re pouring some of the finest pints the UK and Ireland have to offer! All roads lead to Whitelock’s — and this is your sign to follow them.”

Entry is completely free so show up, have a couple pints and say cheers to how brilliant UK beer is!
