In celebration of the adorable character’s 70th birthday, Leeds City Museum hosted an entire exhibition dedicated to Miffy.
We know what you’re thinking, she looks good for her age doesn’t she?
The beloved and incredibly cute illustrated character created by Dutch artist Dick Bruna invited visitors to the Leeds City Museum to explore Miffy’s world, an experience for both children and adults alike.
It’s safe to say the exhibition went down an absolute treat, with Miffy fans travelling from across the country to visit.

And if you haven’t been yet then it’s time to get a wriggle on, as this week is the last week the exhibition is open for visitors.
The interactive exhibition brings Miffy to life through colourful activities and displays that encourages guests to fully immerse themselves in a different world.
It looks at different aspects of Dick Bruna’s artwork and design philosophy through his huge collection of 124 picture books, posters, logos, book covers and house styles for charities.
Oh, and there’s also a fabulous gift shop where you can bag yourself an adorable Miffy of your own to take home.

The Leeds City Museum runs until this this Sunday 7 September 2025 and the best part? It’s completely free to attend.
Miffy was “born” on 21 June 1955, when Dutch artist Dick Bruna first drew the character to entertain his young son whilst on a rainy seaside holiday in Holland.
The series of picture books which followed used simple illustrations and rhyming text to explore the universal experiences of childhood, immediately earning Bruna international critical acclaim as an illustrator and artist.
So what better way to celebrate than learning about Miffy’s history?
