Tom Grennan announced as first Sounds of the City lineup for 2024

Just announced.

It doesn’t feel like two minutes since the last Sounds of the City had us on our feet in the summer sun (or downpour, depending on which day you got tickets for), but the two weeks of music is already promising a strong return for 2024.

Tom Grennan has been announced as the first performer set to take over Millennium Square for Sounds of the City 2024.

The By Your Side singer will be performing in Leeds on Saturday 6 July before heading to the Manchester leg of the festival for a gig on Sunday 7 July 2024.

The news comes after Tom Grennan announced his biggest largest UK headline show to date, with a takeover at London’s Gunnersbury Park penciled in for Saturday 10 August 2024.

The singer-songwriter has had a whirlwind year since releasing third number one album, What Ifs and Maybes, which led to a sold out UK arena tour in spring.

To date Tom has seen over 1.3 billion streams and holds a whopping nine million monthly Spotify listeners to date, plus and more recently was nominated for the 2023 BRIT Award for Alternative/Rock Act, marking his third consecutive BRIT nod following Song of the Year for his international smash ‘Little Bit Of Love’, and Alternative/Rock Act in 2022.

The songwriter is described as having a ‘purpose, to embrace, encourage and lift listeners with lyrical positivity, brightness – and sky-scraping choruses to sing to the rafters.’
