HEYTEA will be taking over the former McKickz site on Briggate later this year.
Founded in 2012, HEYTEA is a world famous Chinese tea shop that has recently taken over the UK by storm.
With a whopping 4000 branches across the globe, they recently opened their first site in Manchester and are now bringing their Chinese tea delights to Leeds.
The Chinese chain serves up a range of flavoured teas from strawberry and mango to their famous Cheese Tea which the brand claims to have invented.
By adding to the tea a “layer of fine cheese foam made with real milk, it created a sweet aftertaste that perfectly catered to the young crowd, marking the start of a new era of tea.
Will you be dumping your cup of Yorkshire tea for HEYTEA? Stupid question, of course we won’t, but we’re willing to give it a try…
HEYTEA’s website reads: “While coffee invigorates and alcohol intoxicates, tea holds a unique place as a calming and soothing influence, much needed in today’s hectic world!
“The core elements of tea – tea polyphenols, theanine, and caffeine – blend together like a waltz in a symphony. Each plays a unique role in the flavour, scent, and effects of tea.”
Only using real milk and no artificial flavours, customers can expect only the freshest taste and authentic experience.
Currently there is no official opening date for the Leeds store but the McKickz store has confirmed that they will be moving to a new site in Holbeck.
